Privacy Policy

Last updated 11 August 2026

Push Up provides gym booking and membership-administration software. This policy explains how Push Up handles personal information when you use our website or application.

Push Up and your gym

Your gym owns and operates its business independently from Push Up. Your gym decides which member information is entered into Push Up and how it uses that information to provide its services. Push Up operates the platform and handles information as needed to provide, secure and support it.

Your gym’s own privacy policy also applies to information it collects from you. Questions about your membership, gym services or the original collection of your details should be directed to your gym.

Information we handle

Depending on how your gym uses Push Up, we may handle:

  • your name, email address, phone number, date of birth and postal address;
  • your gym, membership status and account role;
  • class bookings, cancellations and waitlist activity;
  • authentication, session, device and security information; and
  • messages and support information you provide.

Your gym may give us information you previously supplied to it so that it can invite you to Push Up or administer your membership.

How we use information

We use personal information to create and administer accounts, show class schedules, process bookings and waitlists, send service messages, support users and gyms, maintain security, prevent misuse and comply with law. We do not sell personal information or use member information for third-party advertising.

Who can access information

Authorised staff at your gym may access member, booking and membership information for that gym. If you belong to more than one gym, each gym accesses only the information available within its own Push Up workspace.

We use specialist providers to operate the service, including Clerk for authentication, Convex for application data, email delivery providers and Gravatar for optional profile images. These providers may process information outside New Zealand under their contractual and security commitments.

Cookies and similar technology

Push Up uses cookies and similar technology where needed for sign-in, security and the operation of the service. We do not currently use advertising cookies.

Storage, security and retention

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. We retain information only while it is needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes or protect the platform. Information may be deleted or returned when a gym stops using Push Up, subject to legitimate retention requirements.

Your choices and rights

You may ask to access or correct personal information held about you. You may also ask for your Push Up account to be closed or your information to be deleted, although some information may need to be retained where the law or a legitimate operational requirement permits it.

To make a request, email the Push Up Privacy Officer at support@pushup.co.nz. Include your name, the email address used for your account and the name of your gym. You may also contact the gym that invited you, which can action the request or coordinate with Push Up where platform assistance is required.

Privacy concerns

For a concern about Push Up’s operation of the platform, contact our Privacy Officer at support@pushup.co.nz. For a concern about information collected or used by your gym, you may also contact that gym directly. You may make a complaint to the New Zealand Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the service or our legal obligations change. We will publish the current version here and update the date above.
